The Hello In There Foundation officially surpasses $1M in grant making

In 2024, The Hello In There Foundation officially surpassed a major milestone, bringing its total grantmaking to more than $1 million since the Foundation began awarding grants in 2021.

The milestone came during a year of significant growth for the Foundation. In 2024 alone, The Hello In There Foundation distributed $368,929.71 in grants to 29 organizations, bringing its cumulative grantmaking through the end of the year to $1,084,029.71. That achievement followed three years of expanding support, including $62,000 in grants to five organizations in 2021, $247,000 to 18 organizations in 2022, and $406,100 to 19 organizations in 2023.

Since its founding, the Foundation has worked to carry forward John Prine’s legacy of kindness, compassion and helping others. Through its grantmaking, the Foundation has supported organizations addressing a wide range of community needs, from housing and homelessness to the arts, healthcare, disaster relief and support for vulnerable populations.

Surpassing $1 million in grantmaking represents a significant milestone—and a testament to the generosity of John Prine’s fans and the communities that continue to embrace his legacy.
