2022: Year In Review

In 2022, The Hello In There Foundation supported a powerful group of grantees—Musicians On Call, Keep A Breast Foundation, Thistle Farms, Room In The Inn, A Step Ahead Foundation of Middle Tennessee, Raphah Institute, Healing Housing, and CARE—each working to bring healing, hope, and dignity to people facing adversity. Though these organizations serve different communities and causes, they are united by a shared commitment to care for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—especially those who are often underserved or overlooked.

Musicians On Call brings the joy and comfort of live music to hospital patients, creating moments of connection and peace in clinical settings. Keep A Breast Foundation aims to reduce breast cancer risk through education and prevention tools, and demystifying health care with creativity and access. Thistle Farms and Healing Housing walk alongside women in recovery, offering safe housing, employment, and compassionate support systems rooted in dignity and resilience. Room In The Inn provides shelter and long-term solutions for those experiencing homelessness, guided by a belief in radical hospitality and mutual respect. A Step Ahead Foundation offers access to free birth control and reproductive health counseling, helping women take charge of their futures without financial barriers. Raphah Institute uses restorative justice practices to address the root causes of harm and conflict, creating space for healing in both individuals and communities. And CARE continues its global mission to fight poverty and injustice, especially among women and girls. Together, these organizations form a tapestry of support, healing, and empowerment. Their work reflects the values at the heart of The Hello In There Foundation: compassion, community, and the belief that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and cared for. In amplifying their missions, the Hello In There Foundation furthers John Prine’s legacy of empathy, equity, and love for the overlooked and underserved.
