You Got Gold 2025 Recap

The fourth and final You Got Gold concert series concluded this past weekend in Nashville, raising more than $300,000 to support the Hello In There Foundation. The annual event brought together artists, friends, and fans from around the world for four days of music and community in celebration of John Prine’s enduring legacy.

Events took place across several Nashville venues, including the Ryman Auditorium, The Basement East, The Country Music Hall of Fame’s CMA Theater, The Bluebird Cafe, and Imogene + Willie. Along with live performances, the week featured volunteer and community activities inspired by John’s values of kindness, compassion, and connection.

Proceeds from this year’s event will support a new group of Hello In There Foundation grantees. Organizations receiving support include Operation Encore, which serves veteran and active-duty musicians; Nashville International Center for Empowerment (NICE), through a collaborative Ryman mural project; Thistle Farms; Music Health Alliance; Best Buddies; and World Central Kitchen, which provides meals during humanitarian and disaster relief efforts. The Foundation is also exploring future support for Indigenous-led disaster recovery efforts in Alaska.

Funds raised through the 2025 festival will help sustain ongoing and future grantmaking efforts into 2026. To date, the Hello In There Foundation has distributed more than $1.3 million in grants and aid to nearly 100 groups across the country.

“Each year, You Got Gold has been a celebration of John’s songs and his generous heart,” said Fiona Prine. “While this was the final You Got Gold festival, John’s legacy of care and connection will continue through the work we do everyday and through everyone who carries his songs forward.”

Looking ahead, the Hello In There Foundation plans additional events, including film screenings in Denver and at the Bob Dylan Center in Tulsa, with proceeds benefiting the Foundation. Additional events are also being planned in 2026 in celebration of what would have been John Prine’s 80th birthday.
